A Bengaluru-based rowdy-sheeter, Manjesh Kumar, was hacked to death outside the Hassan District Court complex in the early hours of June 8, 2026. Police said the 42-year-old was attacked between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. and was found dead at the scene. Hassan Extension Police began an investigation and formed teams to identify those responsible. A teenage girl was found dead at her residence in Ambika Nagar, Channarayapatna, Hassan district, on August 22, 2026. The girl, identified in reports as Rakshitha, was found hanging from the ceiling. Her family members have alleged that a youth had been harassing her and suspected foul play. A complaint was lodged with the Channarayapatna police, and the body was sent to Hassan District Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police said further investigation was underway.
